I am assuming that the clip in question was not AMA linked, as you say the XDCam sources were erased and no backups made?įor the future, I always recommend creating backups of all tapeless sources (especially footage deemed "irreplaceable") because you want to always assume that the Avid media can be deleted/lost and recreated as needed from the sources. It usually points to the media file being accidentally deleted. However, I usually find that a single clip/media file getting unlinked while other clips with media on the same drive are still linked is very uncommon.

If nothing truly changed it seems that a link has simply been broken somehow and the media file is unlinked from the master clip. Also, the Media Tool only yields results for files that are known as being online, so if Avid is telling you the media is offline, then Media Tool isn't going to know about it either. The Avid Attic only holds copies of Bins, there's no correlation to the media files on the hard drives. The only item on my bin drop down is the name of the bin I am using.I tried relinking, tried going way back into the Avid Attic, tried searching in Media Tool-all to no avail. I do not have this box/field on my version of avid. See the RabbitMQ quorum queues guide and the general RabbitMQ queues guide to learn more about queue types in RabbitMQ. In the capture tools box, under the bin drop down, there was a box which showed the media drive being used with a drop down to change this. rabbitmq-queues is a command line tool that provides commands used to manage queues, for example, grow, shrink or rebalance replicas of replicated queue types.

I have just been on to some online tutorials which ran through the entire process of setting up projects, capturing etc and I can confirm that I was already doing things correctly. I have not deleted the files so presume they are not storing any where? I have checked this and CANNOT see or access the media. He said if I can't see and access the media/master files there then I must have deleted them. I explained the problem to him and the only other thing he could think of was to check the media tools option. I went to a conference yesterday where one of the speakers was an AVID expert. Is this correct or do I need to highlight the OMFI folder and save my project within there? If so, please confirm and I will change this and hopefully this will resolve the issue. With regards to the folding settings, I think I have this set up correctly? I have set up the media to save directly to my hard drive where it has automatically created a folder under the name of my project where I can see my project settings, bins etc.

I have updated what operating system and version of avid I am using and have checked the permissions settings and they are read and write. If you've already tried rebuilding the database files and still have media offline issues, check and make sure you're following the ground rules for media folder management:ġ) The "Avid MediaFiles" folder (for MXF media) and the "OMFI MediaFiles" folder (for OMF media) MUST reside at the root level of the media drive, not inside any other folders or the system will not be able to find the media.Ģ) The folder names must always be the factory default names listed above (minus the quotes) or the system will not be able to find the media.ģ) There can be only one of each folder type on any given media drive.Īlso, you may want to check permissions for your media drive.
